GateKeeper Proximity utilizes Bluetooth 4.0 to send a continuous proximity signal to USB sensors plugged into workstations. This signal is used to create a "tether" (not a Bluetooth connection) between the computer and the token. This signal is strongest and most accurate when the token is in direct line of sight with the USB sensor. If your token is blocked by a desk, wall, body part, or window, the signal will become weaker and the computer may lock. To prevent this, make sure to keep your USB and token in line of sight by

• wear the token on a lanyard facing the computer
• wear the token on a badge holder or keychain facing the computer
• don't keep your token in your pocket
• use USB extension cords with wire managers to place the USB sensors as close to where your token will be while you're at the workstation
• if you choose to keep your token in your right pocket, use the USB extension cable to place the USB sensor under the desk, to the right as close as you can to your right pocket
• adjust your lock and unlock range based on your environment's needs
