How to register the NFC/RFID card for a GateKeeper user?
Unlike Bluetooth tokens, cards cannot be added directly via the GateKeeper Hub since they must be scanned individually to get the card ID and other information. To add a new GateKeeper User to the system with an NFC/RFID card as the authenticator, the administrator must use the GateKeeper User Onboarding utility.
The GateKeeper User Onboarding utility for NFC/RFID cards can be downloaded from the Downloads page on your GateKeeper Hub website.
1. Log in to the GateKeeper Hub URL and click "Downloads" from the left pane.
2. Scroll down and click "Download" the GateKeeper User Onboarding (NFC/RFID Cards). Once you completed downloading, open this software.
3. Enter your Hub URL, Username, and Password. Then click "Login".
For the On-Premise version of Hub, please type the IP address or DNS of the computer hosting the GateKeeper Hub in the URL. Please do not include a slash (/) at the end of the URL.
For example) xxx.xxx.x.x or https://xxxxx.gatekeeperhub.com
4. Select 2FA required. If you have already set up the OTP code with the authenticator application, select Authenticator. Then click "Next".
5. Type your OTP Passcode.
6. Select "Update User" to find an existing GateKeeper user.
7. Type the user's first name, then select the name from the dropdown menu.
8. After you select the user, put your smartcard on top of your smartcard reader.
9. Type your "PIN" and click "Update User". Done. Now the GateKeeper user can begin using their Smartcard to unlock the computer.
*When the user logs in to their computer with an NFC card the first time, it will ask them to change the PIN.
