If you are using touch to unlock and GateKeeper is unlocking without tapping the token, then your BLE signal may be too strong. Here are the recommended next steps:
1. Set the Signal Quality Bias Factor to Normal (or -5) through the GateKeeper Hub.
- Log in to the GateKeeper Hub.
- Click the Groups & Settings from the left menu.
- Search the group you want to change, click "Manage Settings", then click "Update Settings".
- Scroll down then find the "Signal Quality Bias Factor" under the "Lock Settings".
The Signal Quality Bias Factor is a feature for adjusting the unlock and lock distance on the GateKeeper Client software. Adding a negative bias factor will make the token appear further than it is. *
***Increasing this setting will cause the computer to unlock slower when users walk away.
2. Disable the internal BLE for GateKeeper:
Disabling internal BLE during Installation:
We can turn off the internal Bluetooth while installing the GateKeeper Client application so that the GateKeeper token only works with the GateKeeper USB sensor.
At the Bluetooth sensor screen, uncheck the Use all available Bluetooth devices and click Next.
Disabling the Internal Bluetooth through the registry editor
1. Open the registry editor.
2. Go to path Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Untethered Labs\GateKeeper Client\Config
3. Set WinBluetooth to False. Done.
