Proper Setup of your USB Proximity Sensors (Receivers)
The USB Sensor detects the presence of GateKeeper Halberd or Trident Tokens.
Remember, at least one of your USB Bluetooth proximity sensors MUST be in line of sight to your GateKeeper key fob (or phone). To ensure the most optimal automated proximity authentication experience, please use a minimum of 2 sensors in dedicated ports. You can use up to five USBs per workstation.
If users keep their token on their waist or in their pocket, it would be best to place the USB sensor under the desk (image 1).
If users keep their token on a lanyard, it would be best to place the USB sensor next to the monitor (image 2).
If you place a USB sensor on both the top and bottom, your GateKeeper will have the most optimal experience in locking and unlocking very cleanly!
Please use dedicated USB ports with extension cables only. Read "Proper use of your GateKeeper USB Extension Kit" to see how to set up your Bluetooth USB proximity sensors. The positioning of your USB proximity receivers are crucial to your computer locking and unlocking both accurately and quickly.
If your desktop is under your desk, you MUST use a USB extension cable so that your Bluetooth USB proximity sensor is closer to where you sit (and where your key fob is).
