Active Directory password changes - GateKeeper Enterprise.
Case 1: Active directory password has expired, and the user must choose a new one.
1. User attempts log in with their GateKeeper PIN.
2. Message says the password must be changed before signing in.
- User types in the old password and the new password in the second field.
4. Message will state that the password update has been completed successfully. This will also sync the new password with the GateKeeper Hub server and database.
- User is redirected back to the GateKeeper login screen to enter their PIN and login.
- User types in the PIN and computer unlocks.
Case 2: Administrator changes the user’s password in Active Directory and gives the new password to the user.
1. User tries to log in with GateKeeper.
2. Message states that the user’s password in GateKeeper is incorrect.
3. User types in the new password that the administrator has provided.
4. User gets logged in to the computer and the new password is synced with GateKeeper Hub.
Case 3: Administrator changes the password in Active Directory and then uses GateKeeper Hub to update the user’s profile.
1. Administrator updates the password for the user in GateKeeper Hub with the new AD password.
2. User logs in to their computer using their GateKeeper without having to do anything else.
Case 4: Administrator changes user’s AD password directly in GateKeeper Hub without having to first change it in AD (not released).
1. Administrator types in new AD password in the GateKeeper user’s profile on the Hub. This will automatically update the user’s password in AD.
2. User logs in to their computer using their GateKeeper without having to do anything else.
