Touch Login mode for unlocking only applies to logging in to the thin client machine itself, not using RDP to connect to a remote server.
When logging into a thin client with the GateKeeper Client software installed, you can configure it to use Touch Login to unlock the thin client.
Once you are logged in to the thin client and attempt to connect the thin client to a remote machine, you would use a remote desktop software which looks like this:
After choosing your server, you may be asked to enter your credential, or choose one using GateKeeper if the GateKeeper Client software is installed. In the case that GateKeeper is chosen, you will be asked to enter your PIN to confirm. Touch Login will not be available on this dialog.
You can configure the thin client machines to unlock by using touch to unlock by following this guide:
How to set up touch unlock with GateKeeper.
