How to make the computer unlock when I get closer.
If you would like to log in to your computer from a closer range, please follow the directions below.
GateKeeper Single-User Client v3.12.28.0
- Open your GateKeeper Client application on your PC by pressing the Windows key on your keyboard and start typing "GateKeeper".
- Change the Auto-Unlock Range setting to a higher setting for example Close (0 - 5 feet). Now your computer will unlock when you're within 5 feet of the USB sensor. The default setting is Normal (3 - 10 feet).
If you would like to unlock a computer by touch, change the Proximity Lock Method.
GateKeeper Single-User Client v3.11.35
- Open your GateKeeper Client application on your PC by pressing the Windows key on your keyboard and start typing "GateKeeper".
- Move the Unlock dial right to decrease the unlock range (unlocks only when close). Now your computer will unlock slower when you approach. This will help prevent unintended logging in events. The default unlock setting is set to 70. Try moving the unlock notch to 80-85. This will slow down the unlock process.
If you would like to unlock a computer by touch, change the Proximity Lock Method.
Changing your lock and unlock distance.
Make sure your body or other objects are not blocking the path between your token and your USB sensor to ensure that the computer doesn't lock unintentionally.
Another option is to switch to "Touch Login" mode. This unlock method requires tapping the token to the USB sensor (the shortest possible range).
