The GateKeeper Client API Key allows GateKeeper Client computers to automatically sync with GateKeeper Hub. If the API key is missing or invalid, the computer may not sync correctly with the Hub and may require manual approval or configuration.
Step 1: Find the Client API Key in GateKeeper Hub
- Log in to GateKeeper Hub.
- Click Administration.
- Go to API Keys.
- Click Hide/Show to reveal the API key.
- Enter your GateKeeper Hub password when prompted.
- Click the Copy icon next to the API key.
Step 2: Set the API Key on the Client Computer
On the client computer, open the Windows Registry Editor and go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Untethered Labs\GateKeeper Client\Config
Create or update this registry value:
Value name: APIKey
Type: REG_SZ
Value data: <Your GateKeeper Client API Key>
Example:
APIKey = ABCD1234
Step 3: Confirm the Hub Server Address
In the same registry location, confirm that the Hub server address is also set correctly:
Value name: ServerAddress
Type: REG_SZ
Value data: https://<YourHubServerAddress>:<Port>
Example:
ServerAddress = https://gatekeeper.company.com:3015
Step 4: Restart the GateKeeper Client Services or Reboot
After updating the registry, restart the GateKeeper Client services or reboot the computer so the new API key is applied.
