How to automatically unlock computer.

Automatically Login to your Computer with Proximity.

This feature is not available on the GateKeeper Client application version 3.14.3.0 and up.

It is only available on the GateKeeper Client application version 3.13.31.0 and lower.

GateKeeper Proximity authentication can automatically unlock your computer with the appropriate settings. Automatic unlock can be set from the GateKeeper Client desktop application.

1. Open your GateKeeper Client application on your PC by pressing the Windows key on your keyboard and start typing "GateKeeper".

2. Click Settings on the left side.

3. Under "Unlock Settings", go to "Unlock Method", and select "Automatic" in the dropdown menu - the first option. Good to go!

Now, when you walk up to the computer, it will automatically unlock if you have your token with you (or phone if you have the GateKeeper Trident app). 

*Note: Automatic unlock function will not work if more than 1 person has an account on the same computer (shared computer) and both user's keys are in proximity. In this event, the computer will not know which of the 2 users to log in automatically. The intended user must type their PIN. Please also make sure that your security policy allows you to use the automatic unlock function as some policies may prohibit bypassing manual authentication. 

Set Automatic Unlock for multiple computers from the Hub admin console

All computers in the same Group will be subject to the same configurations for locking, unlocking, and password complexity.

1) Login to your GateKeeper Hub.

2) Click on Group Settings on the left side.

3) Find the Group you would like to make changes to and click "Manage Settings" to the right of the Group's name. If you wish to make your 2FA requirement global for all users on your network, click Organization.

4) Click the UNLOCK SETTINGS tab.

5) Next to Unlock Method, click the dropdown and select the option Automatic Unlock. Click Save Changes and you're done! Now users can simply approach their workstation and the computer will unlock automatically and lock when they leave.

Automatic Login:

Proximity login - once the user is in the range of the computer, the user will be authenticated.

As the admin, you can also select the option Set on Client computer, which will allow individual users to select their own login options between automatic, touch, pressing Enter, or PIN.
