Yes - GateKeeper® authentication is wireless over the air through Bluetooth 4.0 authentication . When your computer's Bluetooth sensors read that your key fob is in the vicinity, GateKeeper automatically authenticates you and allows for the fastest (and safest) login experience for everyone. However, no passwords are ever transmitted over the air - passwords are securely encrypted on the computer. 

The GateKeeper key fob's wireless range varies between inches to 100 feet, depending on the environment and obstructions. The more proximity USB Bluetooth sensors you have, the more accurate the wireless signal from your authentication token will be - resulting in smoother locking and unlocking of the PC.
