Doctors and practice teams must ensure that no unauthorized person has access to practice or patient data. The PC must therefore always be locked even if you leave the workstation for only a short time. With CGM AUTHENTICATE, CGM M1 PRO has developed a safe solution based on a proximity sensor to avoid the manual effort of constantly locking and unlocking.

During normal practice operation, it is almost unavoidable that a patient is sometimes left unattended near a practice PC. With the practice software open, it would then be possible in principle to gain access to the medical data of other patients. To prevent this, every practice employee has to lock his or her screen every time he leaves the PC or at least log out of the practice software. The permanent locking and unlocking of devices is one of the annoying, but particularly important steps in everyday practice. Simplified passwords can reduce this problem - at the cost of security - but they don't solve it.

With CGM AUTHENTICATE, CGM M1 PRO now offers a simple and effective solution based on a proximity sensor: If an employee leaves the defined work area, the system is automatically locked. If an employee approaches the device again, it unlocks automatically. Doctors and practice staff save the recurring steps, comply with data protection regulations and can concentrate more on caring for their patients thanks to undisturbed processes.

CGM AUTHENTICATE meets the highest data security standards and enables automatic logging in using 1-factor authentication or - by entering an additional PIN - using even more secure 2-factor authentication. All access rights can be set up centrally and individually for each practice employee or workplace. The range of the sensor can also be adjusted individually for each PC. At the same time, all login and logout activities are automatically documented and can be followed up afterwards.
