When you install the GateKeeper Monitor application and need to change the application name or arguments because of a typo, a change of the application, or any other reason, you have two options:
1. Uninstall and reinstall the application.
- Open the control panel then click "uninstall a program".
- Search for the GateKeeper Monitor and uninstall it.
- Re-download from the GateKeeper Hub and run the installer.
- Make sure you type the correct application name and arguments during the installation.
* Note: if it is a desktop application, please add .exe after the application name.
* If it is a Microsoft Edge browser, please type msedge.
2. Modify the JSON file (to change the application name or arguments).
- This is beneficial if you have many computers that are running Kiosk Mode and need to update or edit application names or arguments.
- Open the file folder using the "Win + E".
- Go to the path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Untethered Labs\GateKeeper Monitor
- Find the JSON file, then click edit with Notepad++.
- From there, edit the application name or arguments, then click "File" in the top left corner.
* Note: if it is a desktop application, please add .exe after the application name.
* If it is a Microsoft Edge browser, please type msedge.
- Click "Save", and it will ask for the administrator credentials to edit. Click "Yes," then re-open Notepad++.
- Click "Save".
- Now, reboot your computer.
Next, you can copy and paste this JSON file to other computers' paths (C:\Program Files (x86)\Untethered Labs\GateKeeper Monitor), and it will be updated as soon as you reboot the computer.
