How to change a user's password without sharing it.

Updating Passwords for Users in GateKeeper Proximity.

Save an incredible amount of time by changing passwords in the Hub and then all users now have the updated passwords without even realizing it. To edit an existing GateKeeper user's username or password (web, local), please follow the steps below:

1. Open Google Chrome/Firefox web browser.

2. Log in to the GateKeeper Hub and go to the Users page.

3. Hover over the user's account and click Passwords in the Actions category. 

4. Hover over the desired credential to edit, navigate to the Actions category, select the Edit option to update the information, and click Save. If you'd like to update/change the password for the credential, check the box next to Change Password. Done! If the users have shared any credentials with other users, those shared users' accounts will also be updated with the new passwords.

Change AD Passwords from the Hub

The GateKeeper Hub can update Active Directory accounts assigned to users or computers currently in GateKeeper Hub, saving IT admins tremendous amounts of time and effort.

This requires setting up an Active Directory account with WRITE permissions through GateKeeper Hub Manager and an active GateKeeper Ulitmate license. How to give the GateKeeper Hub read and write permissions to Active Directory.

1. Log in to your GateKeeper Hub.

2. Click the Active Directory (or AD Management for older Hub versions) tab in the GateKeeper Hub. 

3. Search for the AD account and click Change Password under the Action column.

4. Type a new password or click Generate Secure Password to create a random and secure password, then click Save. Now, all GateKeeper users and computers (Koisk mode) associated with this AD account will receive this updated password. Done. 

Change AD Password:

Once you have saved the new password, GateKeeper will automatically sync the new password with the user and the Active Directory.
