GateKeeper Hub Manager: Configuration
For on-premise GateKeeper Hub version only. The GateKeeper Hub Configuration Manager is used connect the GateKeeper Hub to the SQL server. It can also be used to migrate the GateKeeper data from one database to other.
SQL Setup - Connecting to the SQL Server
1. In the tab “Application Setup” section.
2. Next to SQL Server Connection, click the blue settings button.
3. When the database options expand, click the first icon called Create a New Database for Hub.
The Create New Database side panel will expand open.
4. Enter the IP address of the computer with the SQL Server installed on it, followed by a ‘\’ (backslash) and the instance name of the SQL Server. If the SQL server is installed on the same machine, just leave it to the default ‘(local)’. Keep Windows Authentication selected if your credentials have access to create a database on the SQL Server. If not, select SQL Server Authentication to sign in with credentials that have access to create a database. Lastly, please enter a login Username and Password.
5. Click Connect and the status will change to “Connected”. If the information is not correct, you will receive an error asking you to check the parameters and enter them again.
SQL Setup - Creating GateKeeper Database Credentials
Click Create to set up the Database and user for GateKeeper on the SQL Server. The fields will be populated by default and you do not need to know the password as it is not used anywhere. You can also change the username and password if you want to.
A notification will ask you to verify these changes on the next page.
App Setup - Verifying the SQL Connection
Confirm the SQL server IP address and instance name. If you would like to store the GateKeeper logs on an existing Syslog Server as well, turn SysLog Connection to ON and enter the IP address and port number for the SysLog Server. Click Save App Settings.
IIS Setup – Verification of IIS Application Pool and Port Number
After completing all the previous steps successfully, you will be directed to the IIS Setup page. A notification will pop up saying that the IIS was restarted successfully, click Ok.
After the successful IIS Notification, the Status on the top left should change from ‘Offline’ to ‘Online’. This indicates that the GateKeeper Hub application is connected to your SQL Server and is up and running. If the Status comes Online, click Launch GateKeeper Hub to log in to the GateKeeper Hub dashboard.
