If you need to connect GateKeeper Client computers to the GateKeeper Hub Server, you must know the IP address of the machine where the Hub is installed. This guide explains how to locate the correct IP address on the server.
Step 1: Log in to the Computer Running the GateKeeper Server
Access the workstation or server where the GateKeeper Hub is installed. You must be logged in to perform the following steps.
Step 2: Open Command Prompt
Click the Start Menu
Type cmd or Command Prompt
Press Enter to open it
Step 3: Run the IP Configuration Command
In the Command Prompt window, type:
ipconfig
Then press Enter.
This command displays the network configuration details for the computer.
Step 4: Locate the IPv4 Address
Look for the network adapter currently connected to your network. Under that adapter, find the line labeled:
IPv4 Address (example: 192.168.1.25)
This value is the IP address of the GateKeeper Hub server.
Which IP Address Should You Use?
If the computer has multiple network adapters, choose the IPv4 address under the adapter that corresponds to:
Your wired Ethernet connection, or
Your active Wi-Fi network
This is the address that GateKeeper Client computers will use to communicate with the Hub.
