Logging into Windows without GateKeeper Token.
If your admin allows it, yes—you can log in without GateKeeper. However, if you log in without your token (using your Windows password), GateKeeper will no longer actively authenticate the user or protect the computer.
Additionally:
-
Web passwords stored in the GateKeeper Password Manager extension will be unavailable unless the user logs in using GateKeeper.
-
Auto-lock functionality will not work.
-
Saved passwords will not be accessible.
Administrators also have the option to enforce GateKeeper-only login, preventing all other login methods if desired.
If you’d prefer to log in using your phone, you can download the GateKeeper Trident app for free on Android or iPhone and use your phone as your wireless authenticator to log in to your computer, websites, and desktop applications.
For any additional questions or concerns regarding proximity settings, computer locking, credential management, or compliance, please contact GateKeeper Enterprise support using the Support Ticket form on https://gkaccess.com/support/ or email support@gkaccess.com.
