How to increase the computer's lock range.
- Open your GateKeeper Client application on your PC by pressing the Windows key on your keyboard and start typing "GateKeeper".
- Move the Lock dial left to increase the lock range (locks farther away). Now your computer will lock slower when you leave. This will help prevent unintended locking events. The default lock setting is 25. Try moving the lock range to 10 or 15. The maximum distance the GateKeeper can lock your computer is at lock setting 0.
Changing your lock and unlock distance.
Motion Detection Sensitivity
Choose a level of motion sensitivity to force the computer to lock faster. High motion sensitivity will make the workstation to lock FASTER. If the system is unintentionally locking too much while you are sitting at your desk, reduce the motion sensitivity to the Low level.
Lock Delay Timeout
Choose a time value for this delay if you want to prevent the computer from locking immediately when you walk away. Try 15 seconds.
Important: This lock delay trigger will only apply when the computer is locked due to proximity.
Signal Quality Bias Factor
Add a bias to the signal quality to prevent computers from locking while you are working. This setting can be adjusted in the Client or Hub software.
A positive signal bias improves signal quality, while a negative bias reduces it. If the signal quality is too low, add a positive bias. If it is too high, add a negative bias. So if your computer is locking while you're working, select +10 or +5. If your computer is not locking fast enough, try -10 or -5.
