The following test will help a GateKeeper user identify if their GateKeeper Halberd token is functioning properly or not. If the token fails either of the tests, then it is not functioning and should be replaced.
To complete the tests, you will need the following:
-
The GateKeeper Client software installed
-
A registered GateKeeper User
-
If it is a rechargeable token, get your USB-C Cable. If it is a battery-powered token, get a new CR2450 Battery
-
GateKeeper USB Sensor
Test 1: Power Check
1. [Rechargeable token] Turn the power switch on, located next to the charging port. When the token beeps, it is powered on. If the token is not beeped, please use the USB-C cable to charge your token.
[Powered-battery token] Insert a new CR2450 battery at an angle into the Halberd token in case the current battery is low. If the token beeps, then it is powered on. Please skip the remaining steps and start Test 2.
2. If the token does not beep, then the token is no longer functioning properly. Contact us at support@gkaccess.com to see if you're eligible for a replacement. Done!
Test 2: Button Check
This test will check that the Button to lock feature still works.
1. If you have a rechargeable token, please charge it using USB-C for 15 minutes. Or if you have a battery-powered token, please open the back cover and Insert a new CR2450 battery into the token.
2. On the side of the GateKeeper Halberd token, hold the button down until the token beeps and the LED turns Green.
If the token does not beep or the LED turns on Red, contact GateKeeper at support@gkaccess.com to see if you're eligible for a replacement. Done!
