Change Passwords Frequently without Sharing.
Save an incredible amount of time by changing passwords in the Hub and then all users now have the updated passwords without even realizing it. Admins can choose to change passwords as often as they want (even every 3 weeks) and no user will ever notice. Take a weak, existing password and update it to 50-characters, any user's profile that has the password will be automatically updated. Change the password again and the user will not notice the change - their GateKeeper token will now allow them to login using the updated password as if nothing had changed.
For example, if there is a common account being shared by 20 different users, and each user has access to this credential because it was shared with them, then after the admin updates the password, all 20 users will be able to login to the account with the new password by using their token.
To update an existing password for a GateKeeper user, please follow the directions below:
1. Open Google Chrome/Firefox web browser.
2. Log in to your GateKeeper Hub and navigate to the Users page.
3. Hover over the user's account and select the Manage option in the Actions category.
4. Select the Passwords option to view all the credentials in the user's account.
5. Hover over the credential you want to update, navigate to the Actions category, select the Edit option to update the information, and click Save. If you'd like to update/change the password for the credential, check the box next to Change Password. Done! If the user has shared the credential with other users, their accounts will also be updated with the new password.
Change AD Passwords from Hub admin console
AD passwords changed from the Hub automatically sync with your Active Directory and the affected user. IT admins can change each user's Active Directory (AD) passwords and accounts directly from the GateKeeper Hub to save a tremendous amount of time and effort.
1. Log in to your GateKeeper Hub.
2. Click the Active Directory (or AD Management for older Hub versions) tab in the GateKeeper Hub.
3. Search for the AD account and click Change Password under the Action column.
4. Type a new password or click Generate Secure Password to create a random and secure password, then click Save. Now, all GateKeeper users and computers (Koisk mode) associated with this AD account will receive this updated password. Done.
