The following instructions walk you through the process of reassigning a token from one GateKeeper user to another user. This is useful when reassigning roles or a new employee is hired.
Step 1: Delete the GateKeeper Halberd token from the existing user.
Step 2: Check that the GateKeeper Halberd token functions correctly.
Step 3: Add the GateKeeper Halberd token to the new user's profile.
Step 1: Delete the token from the previous user's account.
1. Open Google Chrome/Firefox web browser.
2. Log in to GateKeeper Hub and navigate to the Users page on the left.
3. In the upper-right corner of the page, type the user's name in the search bar.
4. Click the user's name. The User Management page will appear from the side, click the Tokens tab and find the token.
5. Under the Actions category, click Delete. Then click Yes, Delete to confirm.
Step 2: Verify that the token is still functional.
1. If the GateKeeper Halberd token is fully functional, please skip this step.
2. If you're unsure, please click here to complete the test.
Step 3: Add the token to the new user from the Hub admin console.
1. In the Hub, click the Users tab.
3. Select the NEW user's account and click the Tokens tab.
4. To add the new token, click .
5. Select the type of token (GateKeeper Halberd, Android, iPhone) and then fill in the Serial Number.
The serial number will be located either on the back of the token (rechargeable versions) or inside the GateKeeper Halberd token battery cover (battery-powered versions).
For Trident app users, the serial number is displayed on the app's home screen. How to find the token's serial number.
6. Click Validate next to the Serial Number field.
7. The MAC address will be updated automatically. If you’re registering a token for a user, select ‘Reset PIN at next login’. This allows users to change their PIN at their next login. Otherwise, choose a PIN for the token.
8. Click Save Changes to add this token to the user's account. Done!
