GateKeeper supports four types of authenticators for computer logins. They are:
- Bluetooth Tokens
- NFC/RFID Cards
- Email with OTP code
- Fingerprint (limited to specific fingerprint readers) (GateKeeper Enterprise Client software v3.12.30 and above does not support fingerprint.)
See this article to define which authenticators are allowed in your GateKeeper deployment.
Set up GLOBAL AUTHENTICATION METHOD:
- Log in to your GateKeeper Hub.
- Navigate to Groups & Settings.
- Click on the Global Settings button.
- Choose the appropriate option in the GLOBAL AUTHENTICATION METHOD dropdown list.
- Click Save Changes.
Choosing the default authenticator for individual groups:
If you choose the "Set on Individual Groups" option for the GLOBAL AUTHENTICATION METHOD, then you can choose the default authenticator for each Group in your GateKeeper system.
- Log in to your GateKeeper Hub.
- Navigate to Groups & Settings.
- Click on Manage Settings > Update Settings for a Group.
- Click on Advanced Settings
- Choose the Default Authenticator to be applied to all the computers in this Group.
- Click Save Changes.
