Uninstalling GateKeeper Client - Windows

The following steps are to be taken if a user wants to uninstall an older version of the GateKeeper Client application.

1. Press the Windows button to open the search bar, then type "Control Panel". Open the "Control Panel".

2. Under "Programs", click "Uninstall a Program".

3. Search 'GateKeeper Client' then click "Uninstall".

4. Click "Yes" from the "Programs and Features" tab.

5. You will see this message, keep the "Automatically close applications and attempt to restart them after setup is complete", then click "OK".

6. All done. Now you have uninstalled the GateKeeper Client application from your computer.

Removing the GateKeeper Client Database 

Deleting the local database will remove stored information such as user profiles, passwords, and local client app settings. 

1. Uninstall the GateKeeper software - please click here for detailed instructions.

2. Go to the Program Data folder: C:\ProgramData.

3. Delete the folder named GateKeeper. Done!

How to uninstall the GateKeeper proximity software on a Mac?

1. Open a Terminal window.

2. Type the following command:

cd /Applications/Utilities/Uninstall\  GateKeeper/

3. Press Return.

4. Type the following command:

sudo ./uninstall

5. When prompted, please type in your admin password and press Return.

6. Close the Terminal window.

7. Restart your Mac. 

*For version 3.8.6 and after, you can log out of the account and sign back in with your username and password instead of restarting your Mac.
