If you are using the on-premise version of GateKeeper Hub and with SQL Express and have 50 or more computers connected to the GateKeeper Hub, your team may be reaching the CPU and Memory limits of SQL Express. Microsoft sets these limits:
The GateKeeper Client software reaches out to the GateKeeper Hub to log any event that occurs. For example, each time a computer is unlocked or locked. A very dynamic team will likely reach the SQL limit during peak times.
There are two options to avoid SQL throttling:
- Purchase the cloud version of the GateKeeper Hub. Using the cloud version, your GateKeeper Hub experience will not be throttled.
- If you'd like to continue using the on-premise version of the GateKeeper Hub, we recommend purchasing a full version of SQL.
For any additional questions or concerns regarding locking, logging off, proximity settings, credential management, or compliance, please contact GateKeeper Enterprise support using the Support Ticket form on https://gkaccess.com/support/ or email support@gkaccess.com. Lock or log off automatically when you're away from your computer.
